The marsh front cottage is a family retreat and guest house. We are pleased to share it with travelers and our neighbor's guests. We've lived in the Palm Key community since 2003 and can't imagine a more peaceful setting. You'll feel the stress melt away upon arrival. Start off the day watching the sun rise over the marsh and be delighted by the wildlife.
The two bedroom, two bath cottage offers sleeping for six - with one queen and two queen beds. The large rear/marsh side covered porch offers comfortable seating, ceiling fans, and a dining area. There's also a dining area just off the porch - a little closer to the waterfront.
Bed linens are provided, as are towels, and a hair dryer in each bathroom. There is a washer, dryer, and drying rack for your use.
The front entrance has easy access with a minimal step up - just steps away from the right side parking area.
The cottage is air conditioned and provides full kitchen. All appliances are new as of July 2023. The kitchen includes coffee makers - a 5 cup Mr. Coffee and Keurig for single cup lovers. There is a smart tv in the living area and in a bedroom (room with two queen beds). WiFi is available for your tv apps.
The cottage is located 7 miles off I-95. Its location is ideal for day trips to Hilton Head Island beaches and shopping, Bluffton, Beaufort, Charleston, Savannah, Tybee Island, Hunting Park Island beach, and Walterboro's antiquing and SC Artisan Center.
The town of Ridgeland is 7 miles away. A small inviting town offering quaint shops and restaurants. Check out Fiddler's Seafood - the restaurant and its seafood market. The fresh seafood market will steam shrimp and lowcountry boil for pickup.
Check in is via the front door code beginning at 4 pm. However, we are glad to accommodate earlier when possible and happy to support your visit in any way we can. We live in the community and are steps away.
