Adorable Cabin in Gorgeous Location
I stayed one night here to kick off a trip of a few days in Colorado Springs. Idaho Springs is less than an hour from Denver and is a really charming little town. The cabin is on a creek and secluded within the trees yet really accessible. It’s off a well maintained road but there is little traffic. It’s only a few minutes outside Idaho Springs but when you’re there it feels like you’re truly in the mountains. The cabin itself is adorable. It’s been updated to be modern while still respecting the history, such as the old “kitchen” sink that has integrated. There’s a fridge, microwave, mini toaster oven, and full dishware plus coffee pot. The back patio is heated so even in the snow you can be out there enjoying nature without boots. It’s incredibly peaceful and relaxing — an environment the owners clearly value because I realized that’s why they have strict rules against parties or events at the properties. These are not party locations, they’re a place to unwind and let yourself get back to nature and slow down. There’s TV and WiFi but I would encourage you to skip those amenities and instead enjoy the sound of the creek, the crisp air, and the stars.
