For visitors in the spring or fall, expect comfortable days and chilly nights, especially down by the sea. The beaches are practically empty in winter, save for the locals who still enjoy a stroll on the sand... often with their dogs, who are allowed on certain beaches in the off-season. Expect a dump of winter snow, and plan to bundle up from November through March.
